Agility for Fun
Indoors – Class size is kept small
Rally-O. This is a continuation of the skills learned in Well Mannered Dog class – loose leash walking and handler focus are needed for this class. If your dog struggles with those skills, sign up for the Well Mannered Dog class before enrolling in Rally-O.
Rally-Obedience is a fun sport where a course of signs is set up. You and your dog learn how to complete the signs and run the course. Great team work and fun exercises you can practice anywhere!
Tricks. A dog that has learned how to learn is now ready for Tricks! When signing up, please send me a list of tricks you think your dog would enjoy learning. Some examples: put away toys; get a beer; open or close doors; fancy paw work (back, daisy chain side heel, spin, twirl, etc); find something; match to sample; nose work; foundation to tracking. I will cover what shaping behaviours is all about and how to find the smallest approximation to the trick you are teaching and how to quickly but effectively move forward.
Agility for Fun returns Spring 2025. Learn the foundation skills of the sport of Agility. Intro to equipment and lots of “ground work” to teach both ends of the leash how to move together in perfect teamwork.
To gain the basic foundation skills, the Well Mannered Dog class is the best place to start!
Classes are 50 minutes in length. Social time after the class allowing dogs to run and play when appropriate.
